Welcome
Hi, I’m Marnice “MJ” Willis, LCSW, LSCSW. I help teens and adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, and life’s transitions through compassionate, personalized therapy. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are and work toward healing, growth, and lasting change. I’m especially passionate about serving people of color, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while welcoming anyone ready to begin their healing journey.
Booking on Headway may be available depending on your insurance and availability.

My approach to therapy
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, which means I use my knowledge, training, and lived experience to support your unique needs and goals. I don’t believe in forcing you into a box. Instead, we’ll focus on helping you heal and grow as a whole person in a way that feels authentic and makes sense for you.
What you can expect from me
In our first few sessions, I’ll take the time to understand your story and what healing looks like for you.
About Marnice “MJ” Willis, MSW, LCSW, LSCSW
I am Marnice “MJ” Willis, a clinically licensed social worker providing individual therapy for teens and adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, stress management, and life transitions. With nearly a decade of experience, I am committed to helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others while developing practical tools for lasting emotional wellness.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Missouri Western State University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. Throughout my career, I have conducted comprehensive mental health assessments, provided evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and supported individuals through some of life’s most difficult experiences.
My clinical approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive. I believe therapy should honor each person’s unique experiences rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. Every treatment plan is personalized to meet the individual goals, values, and needs of each client.
I have a special interest in serving people of color, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community while welcoming clients from all backgrounds. My therapy style is warm, genuine, humorous, and honest—offering both compassion and accountability in a safe, judgment-free environment.
